Brad and Heidi LeRoy planted Harvest Church in March 2007 by mobilizing a launch team of people who would pray and plan to reach Hancock County and the surrounding areas.

 

During the spring and summer of 2007, the launch team started volunteering in community events and holding preview services at Geist Elementary School in the month of September. Harvest Church officially launched October 14, 2007 with children and youth ministries. 

 

Between 2008-2013 ministry continued to grow with expanded opportunities to love the community through community events & partnerships. The Annual Block Party event became a highlight hosted at McCordsville Elementary School. Harvest started a building project and capital campaign to move from the elementary school to permanent worship facilities. While money was raised and plans developed, they could not get the approval needed to move forward with the plans that had been made.

 

Where it seemed a door had been closed on the building project, God had made a way for Harvest to move to the Commercial Park across from the Indianapolis Regional Airport. During the summer of 2014, Harvest was able to use the funds that were raised during the capital campaign for the building project to purchase the building where Harvest has made its home.

Harvest has continued to be present in the schools and the communities of northwest Hancock county.  In early 2023, our founding pastor Brad stepped away from leading the church and that allowed for the Fergusons to join the Harvest team in the summer of 2023.
